Farewell from Heather...

"It was a difficult decision, but I am writing today to announce my retirement from JPS. It was a fun ride, but my injury last season started me thinking about what comes after JPS softball. Now some belligerent folks might play JPS ball until their knees finally fall off, and I respect this dedication. But in an effort to have a career off the field, I will be packing up my mitt, cleates, batting glove, and Brandon and moving to Milwaukee. I considered KC for a moment, maybe joining up with JPS-midwest, but when I finally gave in to retirement Milwaukee just seemed like the place old JPSers should go to live out the remainder of their years. Brandon hates to leave when his JPS career was just taking off, but when he was offered the opportunity to work from home in his underwear everyday...well, what man could turn that down? We'll be hitching up the trailer on May 21 and hopefully settled in by early June. If anyone finds themselves out that way, give us a call and we'll catch a Brewers game together, or head south to see the lighter Sox or the Cubs."

"Thanks to everyone for the many awesome years on the field and off. JPS is obviously the premier organization in the U.S. and it was an honor to be a part of it for so long."
